G'town Times version of investigating
« on: August 28, 2006, 10:39:04 AM »
I cannot stop laughing at Tommy Howeird's story today. Tommy says: "In light of investigative reporting by another area newspaper and the Georgetown Times, the South Carolina Secretary of State’s office has decided to do its own investigation."

So lets examine Tommy's version of investigative reporting.

1. Scott Harper hoof's it down to the newstand and picks up the current Sun News.

2. Scott then reads the article in question and tries to look up the big words in the dictionary.

3. Jessie Tullos grabs the paper off Scott's desk and heads for the crapper. Jessie reads the article in question and finishes his crap and takes the paper back to his office for a highlighter.

4. Jessie highlights the finer points of the Sun News article and carries the paper to Tommy Howeird.

5. Tommy copies the highlighted points and gives no credit for the source and calls it investigative reporting.

So there you have it. Investigative reporting by the Georgetown Times.

wow

Not to spoil your "pathos" but not all of those involved are men. At least two of them are boys.  :o

I understand Scott Hapless is upset with the original post. He said he using the internet to look those big words up now. He is computer literate you know!

Jessie is a joke

Read today's Jessie Tooloose editorial and you will see the original poster was right. They have to use a dictionary to look up the big words. The Georgetown "waste of everyone's" Times is a joke.

Change is always in the air, you can see it in your local newspaper

In getting ready to write this column, I went to a couple of dictionaries around the office.
