Thanks to a reader for bringing this website to my attention.

Lawsuits have been filed. Sounds like the FBI needs to come in and clean house/swamp.

WOW... Love that news site but have not kept up lately. Yes, SC is a swamp. Look at this crap and those associated with the DOT and the rest of the connected doing well at our expense. Ugh. But how many people are actually paying attention and taking inventory of these crooks??

Didn't we have a scandal like this years ago with the Georgetown County Chamber of Commerce. Seems like the chamber here was spending tax money like a bunch of drunken sailors on $10000 curtains, expensive cars and six figure salaries. If I remember correctly the county ended up taking away all the a-tax money from the chamber and they crumbled up. Seems like the lady that owns the Coastal Observer was the one that took the blame for all the misappropriations? Did any of the money ever get recovered? I doubt it.

It was a guy named Pete Winters that got caught taking the money. He was working in Myrtle Beach when Georgetown hired him. He learned from the people in Myrtle Beach but he got caught when he tried it in Georgetown.
