No reporting on two huge Georgetown stories
« on: July 06, 2022, 08:18:05 AM »
Why have we not read about the new state law that will transfer the port over to Georgetown County? Yes now the port is really doomed. Can you imagine how the port will be with no one from the state to look out for it? The county will finish the job of letting it silt up and there will be no port. And what about the boat crash with people being flown out by helicopter? Not even the blogger from Yauhanna covered that one. No news reporting going on in this county.

I guess I should say thank you to the Yauhanna blogger for posting this after he read about the boat crash here on The Citizens Report:
As reported as breaking news on the GAB News Facebook page Tuesday, a ski boat with four people on board struck an object in the water causing the accident.
But let me point out that most people don’t bother with FB anymore and we never relied on FB for news.
Anyway thanks for following the only reliable place for truthful news Scott!

I did see a push to dredge the port again by some local officials. What surprises me is no one talked about the millions of dollars collected in penny taxes to dredge a few years ago. That money got diverted by county council for pet projects to get themselves re elected. Now they are talking about it again?
