Sanford The Out-Of-State Joke
« on: August 10, 2006, 12:45:34 PM »

C-Span showed a great deal of the National Conference
    of Governors held in Charleston.

Our Governor had little to say or made hardly no
contribution to discussions on education, unemployment,
     healthcare and other issues.

As reported in the STate/Greenville News today...Sanford
gave away tote bags to the Governors with goods enclosed
from India, Pakistan, and other foreign countries.

With SC having the 2nd highest unemployment rate in
the US, I suspect when lots of people are not working
then we are not making much..

Union stink!

and i suppose the unions are also to blame for you not being able to spell.

those manufacturing jobs were lost because the owners refused to pay their workers a "living wage."  it is more alluring to pay some 3rd world worker $2/hr with no benefits while allowing the states to compensate the newly unemployed workers with unemployment pay and retraining.   it's not the unions who do this, you myopic moron.

as for  this morning's article in the state, it's just another perfect illustration of "compassionate conservatism" at work.  next thing, sanford will change the state motto from "dum spiro, spero" to "hooray for me and screw you."

well put, business owner.  the mantra of the republicans is "hooray for me and screw you."   any argument i might have made would have been weak compared to your succinct statement.

Business owner kind of sounds like the Georgetown County government. Screw the taxpayers.
