Update on Civil Rights Suit
« on: August 17, 2006, 10:45:22 AM »
Our suit was transfered to a different judge, C. Weston Houck, after the original judge, Duffy, recused himself due to a conflict of interest with Time Warner Cable.

Judge Houck wasn't real fast in doing his duty (he's the senior judge and on a reduced schedule) but finally got around to denying all motions to dismiss or motions for summary judgment, except for the Coastal Observer Newspaper, which he granted.

We appealed.

Our brief on the appeal is here:

We now have our 911 suit and the civil rights suit on appeal.

I also have my sign case on appeal.  You just can't get justice in lower courts these days.
